Station Day

31 May

The Ohio Center for Broadcasting has a number of projects that you are required to be apart of in order to graduate.

This project, Station Day, takes a couple of weeks due to the process of producing everything from SCRATCH!

First as a class we decided on a format, our call letters, and applied for what positions we wanted to have during this project.

We choose A/C, WCRE (The Cure), and I applied for music director, plus on air talent.

That Was Just The Beginning!

Whirlwind Of A Week!

14 May

Starting last Saturday, Cinco De Mayo, Ohio Center For Broadcasting did a live remote from the Cleveland Zoo. I was asked by the program director to host the event. The broadcast was during the 2012 Arthritis Walk, which OCB helped sponsor.

Local celebrities came to emcee the event, including the Cavalier’s mascot MoonDog, who helped the walkers stretch before they started the event.

What A Busy Week?!

4 May

This week has been amazing as I continue to build my resume and broadcasting experience.
Wednesday was my class’ 30 Minute News Cast.
Thursday we had Dense Dufala from 19 Action news come in and talk to us.
Today, I wrote my blogs for Q104 and WDOK, but there were some awesome bonuses!
Also, I went in to my school to do an interview for some of my classmates.

What Have I Done All Week During These Events?

1 May

Tune In tonight as I talk about “Bucket Lists.” You know what do you want to do before you “kick the bucket.”

What is on yours?
What is on mine?
What is my number one thing I want to do?

Hopefully, we’ll get some unique answers. I think mine are pretty different from most people.

Find out tonight from 6-8pm est.
